Thanks to author Larry Smith (who was inspired by Earnest Hemingway), the Six-Word Memoir has become a literary exercise in storytelling and a global phenomenon. Millions have shared their 6-word stories online at https://www.sixwordmemoirs.com/ and many more have read and appreciated them.

This semester, the Office of Religious Life, the Rollins English Department, and the Olin Library are joining the movement and calling for creative submissions of 'Six-Word Memoirs' that reflect YOUR personal Fall 2020 semester experience. All entries will be posted to this online collection, reviewed by a panel of readers, and considered for special recognition and prizes! If you're looking for inspiration, check out the New York Time's recent onion piece about 'The Pandemic in Six-Word Memoirs.'
